the butterfly effect

So, this is it.

I’m letting this blog go.

Some would think I am quite mad to do this on the same day that I’m on the radar and my follower count is enjoying a steady climb.

I’m not leaving Tumblr, but I am leaving this particular corner of it.  I’m also letting go of most of my blogs.  Not all.  I’ll keep a small handful, but I desperately need to downsize and this is the only way to do it.

Tumblr is supposed to be pleasurable.  A means for escape from the drudgery and drama of real life.  Now, for me, it’s a struggle to keep up with all my blogs and all I seem to do is fight with trolls. It’s wearing me down. I’ve been thinking about shutting down for a little while now and just today had decided against it… until one person in particular upset me this afternoon to the point where I was crying my eyes out.  That’s not supposed to happen here.  Time to go.

I don’t want 1000+ followers. You think it’d be great, but really having that many followers just means you attract more arseholes and more drama and I really have enough of both those things in my “real” life.

I also don’t want to feel like I can’t take a day off without feeling like I’m neglecting something.

I really just want one place to come and relax and post all the lovely pictures I find, and a place to be with my friends. With no drama.  It’s pretty simple.

So I’m starting afresh.

As well as all the tumblr posts you’ve put a ‘like’ against, and then put up there uncredited to the tumblr users you’ve nicked them from.
Hardly fair on us don’t you think, seeing as those images are starting to get posted back onto tumblr by people like nevver, only credited to YOU this time round.

Hear hear.  This bloke is nicking stuff from a bunch of my blogs.  And mogs is right.. the pictures get reposted back here and everyone is so careful to say where they came from… and that apparently, is him!  Don’t think we don’t notice…

That’s a terrible thing to do.  How would you like it if someone just decided to take your name off your original art?
