I do not need an entire box of 20 year old gardening books and 30 year old cookbooks.
I do not.
Right?
I do not.
Right?
It’s a challenge. Srsly.
I have about 20 boxes of books. There needs to be some semblence of order.. but a different semblence of order to how they were organised at the other house..
It’s a challenge. I’m not making much headway.
Probably because.I keep procrastinating taking breaks.

Found by Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882)
Unfinished work, Begun 1853 or 1859.
See post below regarding Rossetti’s model for this painting.
Sarah Cox … aka Fanny Cornforth … born anywhere between 1824 (this date according to some) and 1836 (this date according to her), died 1905; prostitute, housekeeper, and golden girl of the Pre-Raphaelite Movement; the face of Sidonia von Bork, Bocca Baciata, Fair Rosamund, Lilith and many more …
This photo was taken in the 1860s; in it Fanny imitates the famous pose she did for Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s unfinished work “Found” on her first day of modeling for him …
Jane Burden (1839-1914) … later Mrs. William Morris; textile artist and Pre-Raphaelite model; the face of Guinevere, Proserpine, Pandora and many more …
This photograph was taken in 1858, around the time of her engagement to Mr. Morris.“He should be content with that perfect stunner of his - to look at or speak to. The idea of his marrying her is insane. To kiss her feet is the utmost men should dream of doing.”
(Algernon Charles Swinburne, voicing his sentiments regarding William Morris’ engagement to “Janey” in a letter dated 7 February 1858)
Elizabeth Eleanor Siddal (1829-1862); artist, poet and icon of the Pre-Raphaelite Movement; the face of Ophelia, Beatrice, and so many more.
Photo circa 1854 -1855
I’m posting a picture of my phone for the purpose of having something on my page to view whilst I’m fiddling around with themes and colours and whatnot.
I heart my phone. It’s cheap, simple and it does what I need it to do. Woo.
Woah, you must have gone to some trouble to find this! My first ever post on this tumblr back in I think it was November ‘07? I think it was about 6 months after I started the atherdiscretion tumblr in June of that year…
And what a boring post. hah. I still use that phone… I also still use a VCR.
Nice idea for a tumblr… but who are youuuu?

Nice one! I almost watched this again the other day for the first time in years.. but I chose Talk Radio instead.
I just realized I’m follwing TheNiftyFifties and TheSwingingSixties. Awesome. I wonder if there’s The(Something)Forties I can follow too, to complete my triad of favorite decades…[yep -

Oh, wow… thanks guiys! I really appreciate the feedback.
I get a bit of help on theswingingsixties though. :)
Oh, and there’s also http://superseventies.tumblr.com , http://roaringtwenties.tumblr.com , http://thedirtythirties.tumblr.com and http://turnofthecentury.tumblr.com.
I know, crazy.
I should really do a list of them all on every blog so they appear as a set.. get onto that…
Can you please stop stripping my name off my posts? I know you have one of those themes that says “reblogged by” or whatever, but most people view posts from the dashboard and it now appears forever more that you were the original poster of the item. A lot of people reblog from you, too. I see it all over my dashboard that what I posted was apparently posted by you. Not fair!
A pox on theme designers who include that stupid feature!
Sigh.
